About Us
Our Story
Tri County Baptist Church was founded in the late 1970's as a mission church of Collinsville First Baptist. Throughout the years, we have been blessed with several caring and passionate Pastors and their families. We feel we are currently standing on the shoulders of giants who have paved the way for the future of this church. We preach the same Gospel message; Jesus came to save sinners such as us. We are a church that is a family and care for one another. Our philosophy is no one needs to act or be a certain way to come to church, come as you are-leave as He is. We don't believe in arm twisting or high-pressure measures for people to come worship and learn more about Jesus. If this is what you're looking for then please come join us.

Pastor Johnny
Pastor Johnny serves our church family with a grounded, practical approach to ministry and a deep passion for making Scripture clear, accessible, and life-changing. With decades of real-world experience as a tradesman and instructor, Johnny brings an authentic, down-to-earth perspective to pastoral care—believing that faith is best lived out with rolled-up sleeves, open dialogue, and a servant’s heart.
Whether he is teaching from the pulpit, mentoring someone through a tough season, or working behind the scenes, Johnny is dedicated to cultivating a welcoming environment where questions are respected and everyone has room to grow in their walk with Christ. At home, he loves spending quality time with Bethany and their two teenagers, tinkering with practical projects, and enjoying quiet family evenings.
Bethany
Bethany serves our congregation alongside Johnny with warmth, grace, and an open heart. Known for her steady encouragement and gift of hospitality, Bethany is passionate about fostering genuine connections and making sure everyone who walks through the church doors feels seen, valued, and loved.
She plays an essential role in the life of our church community—supporting family ministries, cultivating fellowship, and walking alongside others through prayer and thoughtful care. Above all, Bethany cherishes her role as a mother and partner in ministry, finding joy in family life, shared laughter, and building a strong, Christ-centered home.
